The GitHub page for Tencent’s BrowserSkill lists three stars. It picked up 1,350 in the last day — a small repo suddenly in front of a lot of people. The tool is a CLI plus a browser extension: any shell-capable agent can drive the browser that is already signed in, without interrupting whoever is using it.
The extension’s reach is the part worth pinning down. Which tabs it can see, whether it opens pages nobody pointed it at, what happens when an agent keeps a session alive after the human walks away. A tool that borrows open sessions is only as safe as the permissions it is handed.
