Privacy Policy
This policy explains what bentodigest.com ("the site") collects, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we don't run accounts, we don't ask for personal information, and we don't sell anything about you.
What we collect
The site is fully static. When you visit it, the site itself generates only standard server access logs on our hosting provider's (Cloudflare) edge infrastructure — things like your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. We don't attach those logs to a named individual and we don't use them for profiling.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to
understand aggregate traffic (page views, where readers come from). Its
JavaScript (served from our own server, not Google's) sets cookies such as
_ga that store an anonymous visitor ID, and reports pseudonymous
usage data — including your IP address — to Google. Google's handling of that
data is governed by Google's
Privacy Policy; you can opt out of analytics tracking with a browser
extension such as the
Google Analytics
opt-out add-on or via your browser's tracking settings.
Cookies. Apart from the analytics cookies above (and ad cookies, below), the site sets no other tracking cookies. If display advertising is enabled, the ad network's scripts may set cookies (or equivalent identifiers) on their own terms to serve and measure ads — those are controlled by the ad network, not by us.
Your choices
You can use the site without any interaction at all, and clear cookies at any time through your browser. If you'd like to know what data relates to you, email us below.
